Reagent carousel- Urethane Casting Case Study

Project Overview

A world-renowned high-tech company researching chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer who commissioned our company to make 300 sets of reagent carousel. Because the internal structure has many undercuts and the structure is complex, it cannot be produced by injection molding or cnc machining.


This chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer requires less than 500 sets a year, as is the quantity of reagent carousel. The quantity does not meet the requirements for mass production. Even if it can be produced, the cost will be extremely expensive due to the complex structure of the mold.


Urethane Casting is suitable for products whose production volume is between 10-500. Before contacting us, the customer also consulted other manufacturers of injection molding and CNC machining, and was told that if they wanted to produce, they should modify the structure. Modifying the structure will make the operation of the product more complicated, so the customer refused to modify the structure, and INNORATOP understood the customer's needs and problems.

 

 

 

Project Analysis

INNORATOP established a project team after receiving technical consultation from the customer and analyzed the product. The customer requires the product color to be white. Due to the particularity of the reagent carousel, the customer does not accept the product surface painted white. The ideal situation is that the original is white. After detailed discussion and communication, the customer agreed to place an order for us to make 20 samples.

We chose PU8150 to ensure that the natural color of the product is white, which achieves the same surface effect as injection molding while avoiding common defects such as shrinkage marks and flow marks caused by injection molding. The final product has achieved a better surface effect than injection molding.

Total 14 days

 

After 15 days of hard work by the INNORATOP team, the customer is very satisfied with the 20 samples received. And we received an order for the rest 280 products. Since then, we have established long-term cooperation with customers.
